Meet the Speakers

Lori Lorig is the founder and lead consultant of Faith Unleashed Consulting. She is a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Crete, IL. Lori graduated from Governor’s State University with a degree in Education. Lori and her late husband, Alan, were blessed with nearly 40 years of marriage, three children and two grandchildren.

From age 25 to 45, Lori was found actively leading volunteers at Illinois Lutheran Schools, as head room mom, president of the parent teacher groups and coordinating major events. Lori’s passion for volunteering and church ministry really excelled after serving on a vision planning task force at age 37. Since then, she has co-chaired the vision planning process twice at Trinity.

Lori served as the Coordinator of Member Ministry at Trinity from 2008 to 2015. She, along with a team of gifted members, created a member engagement system to intentionally engage, equip and empower the members at Trinity centered around a self-discovery process. When Lori left the position in 2015, Trinity was worshiping 400 and had 399 members actively engaged in serving. Ten years later, Trinity continues to have a thriving member ministry.

Since the start of Member Ministry at Trinity, Lori has seen the direct connection between leadership competence and member engagement. In 2021 God brought Cindy Jansen and Lori together. This has allowed Faith Unleashed Consulting to expand our focus to include leadership development.

Lori has been blessed to share her insights at multiple WELS National Conferences on Lutheran Leadership, WELS District Conference, WELS Women’s Ministry Conference, Dare to Lead and has served numerous individual congregations varying in size from missions to large thriving congregations.

Pastor Frank Italiano has served at Trinity Lutheran Church in Crete, IL for the last 25 years. Trinity is where Lori Lorig pioneered Personal Member Ministry 2008. Frank has seen Trinity go from a large congregation where pastors and a few individuals did all the work to a church where the culture is that every member uses their unique God-given gifts to serve God and others. Frank’s passion is to equip members and then to get out of the way of them using those gifts to further God’s kingdom.

Cindy Jansen is a leadership facilitator and coach with a firm in Brookfield, WI. Cindy works solely with leaders, at all levels, to help them build their skills and impact the lives of the people whom they serve. Prior to working in leadership development, Cindy worked in the field of Human Resources for 18 years.

Cindy was raised as a WELS Christian and attended Lutheran schooling through 12th grade.  She graduated from UW-Whitewater with a degree in Sociology and then continued to Cardinal Stritch University where she received her Masters of Business Administration. Cindy attends Christ Lutheran in Big Bend Wisconsin where she is an active member of her church and school. Cindy lives in Mukwonago with her husband, Travis and children Colton, Evangeline and Boyd.

Cindy and Lori have partnered to deliver customized Christian leadership skill training. Their passions and synergy can be leveraged for the benefit of God’s kingdom and more specifically for leaders in the local church. They are committed to providing in person, online and recorded leadership training as well as individual and team leadership coaching. We look forward to partnering with you in unleashing the potential of well-equipped Christian leaders in your church.
